I see people post on their Facebook about how horrible their life is. I saw young girls who haven't hit puberty say their life is over. These people have not yet opened their eyes. Their is a world out their with billions of people who are in far more misery.
My mother told me today of a little girl who's mother and stepfather locked her in a closet from the time she was 2 till she was 8 when the police found her. The only times she was taken out was to be raped by her own mother and stepfather and to have sex with people that her parents set her up with. When the police found her she was severely emaciated and covered in lice. She had eaten wood and a butter dish lid she was so hungry. She had to have reconstructive surgery on her genitals. Yes many I know you're probably wincing and want to stop reading, but that is exactly the reason that this happened to this child. She was taken away once before and given back to her mother.
Yes child abuse is everywhere you look and a lot of people just look away because it is too much for them to handle. It's in the news everyday, internet, books, movies, youtube. Yet, someone thinks their life is over because someone doesn't want to date them. Wake up people! Look around you! To your left parent's who just lost their son in war, a young mother lost her husband to cancer, another mother lost her daughter in a car wreck. We say it's just the world we live and are fine with it.
Yet where is the justice for these poor souls who have done horrible things? Child molesters are free to walk the streets, while drug dealers sit in prison until they die. The Bible says in Leviticus 24 17-20
And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death. And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast. And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him; Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again. And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death. What would really happen if we put this words back in action? Would our countries crime rate go down or cease? I certainly think so.
The reason our country is so tolerant is because we're supposed to be the country of freedom and they don't want to step on anyone's toes. No child left behind. What about the ones that are left behind in abuser's care? Is that overlooked as long as the child can read? People today are too tolerant of a great many things.
People think their lives are so bad go on youtube and look at the many memorial videos for infants who were stillborn. See the pain and anguish on the families faces and then ask yourself if your life is really so bad. If your life is so horrible, pray about it. See what happens. What's the worst that could happen, that you might actually feel better? I don't I really felt how powerful prayer was until I actually opened my eyes to God.
I was raised in church, but really don't think I got it until recently. I've actually started reading the Bible and praying. Not just keep me safe kind of prayers. Power prayers. I always thought I couldn't ask God for much because he did DIE for me. But it seems that every question about faith I have is being answered by someone or something. I was watching Joel Osteen a couple of weeks ago and he was talking about power prayer. He was saying don't be afraid to ask for things. Then he read a verse that changed my perspective on prayer. Psalms 81:10 For it was I, the LORD your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt.
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it with good things. So that night I prayed a power prayer. My mother and I have been worried because I hadn't changed my address at work and so they sent my W-2 to my old apartment. I called my HR and she said they would send it back to home office and she'd call me when it arrived. The post office sent me a letter back in December saying they wouldn't be forwarding my mail anymore because I had lived at my new address for 4 months. Well, I know when I get someone else's mail I just throw it away because you have to hound the post office to take it back. I figured they would either throw it away or see it was a tax return and open it up and steal my social security number. I was worried sick. I prayed all weekend about it. I got home Sunday night and decided to check my mail and it was there with a forwarding tag on it. I probably had neighbors looking out their windows at me jumping and yelling. Now you tell me if that wasn't divine intervention.
